It's a pleasant night and strings of lights adorn the night sky. The sound of laughter and family fun mingles in the air. What could this scene possibly be? Perhaps 4th of July? The picture depicted is actually one typical of the Indian festival - Diwali.
The festival of Diwali is a 'celebration of light' and all that it encompasses. This includes the triumph of good over evil, knowledge over ignorance, and strength over fear. This holiday has spread across the land.
Today, the White House and states all over the nation celebrate it! We, at Round Rock Diwali Festival, would like to bring the magic of this celebration as a fun fest for all families in the community.
